“Genetikai Műhelyek Magyarországon” minikonferencia az SZBK-ban

A Magyar Genetikusok Egyesülete, a Szegedi Biológiai Kutatóközpont Genetikai Intézete, az Akadémia Molekuláris Biológiai Genetikai és Sejtbiológiai Tudományos Bizottsága és a SZAB Genetikai Bizottsága védnökségével, 2022. szeptember 09-én 21. alkalommal rendezi meg a “Genetikai Műhelyek Magyarországon” című konferenciát.

Mária Deli and László Nagy were elected as new members of the Academia Europaea

Two researchers from the Biological Research Centre, Szeged - Mária Deli and László Nagy - have been elected members of Academia Europaea. Founded in 1988, Academia Europaea (AE) is an academy whose goal is to promote excellence in all fields of science. It now has more than 4,500 members, 72 of whom are Nobel Prize-winning researchers.

Six BRC researchers received the János Bolyai Research Scholarship

In 2022, 152 researchers won the János Bolyai Research Scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, founded in 1997, with the aim of “encouraging and recognizing outstanding research and development output”. Researchers under the age of 45 can submit applications for a period of 1, 2 or 3 years, and the amount of this grant has increased to 250,000 HUF this year.

Two Lendület (Momentum) research groups are starting in the BRC

The Hungarian Academy of Sciences announced the Momentum Program for the first time on January 14, 2009, with the aim of attracting and retaining young researchers with outstanding international performance to Hungary, and providing funding for research teams that promise breakthrough results.

BRC researchers found new roles of deleterious mutations

In a recent publication, research groups led by Balázs Papp, Csaba Pál and Péter Horváth examined how new morphologies arise during the evolution of organisms. The raw material of evolution are mutations, genetic changes in the DNA sequences.

Bolyai János Kutatási Ösztöndíjjal ismerték el 6 SZBK-s kutató munkásságát

2022-ben 152 kutató nyerte el az 1997-ben alapított MTA Bolyai János Kutatási Ösztöndíjat, melynek célja “a kiemelkedő kutatás-fejlesztési teljesítmény ösztönzése és elismerése”.

Két új Lendület-es kutatócsoportot köszönthet az SZBK

A Magyar Tudományos Akadémia 2009. január 14-én hirdette meg először a Lendület Programot azzal a céllal, hogy haza hívja és itthon tartsa a nemzetközi szinten is kiemelkedő teljesítményt nyújtó fiatal kutatókat, és forrást nyújtson új kutatócsoportok létrehozására. Idén, a szokásokhoz híven két kategóriában lehetett pályázni az MTA felhívására.
