A session of short talks by randomly selected speakers

Rules:

3-5 randomly selected speakers per session (speakers are informed in due time)

expresso talks are planned to happen about once a month

contribution is obligatory for active researchers with an M.Sc degree and up (voluntary for others)

max. 10 minutes (with questions)

max. 1 slide for each speaker (if you use more than one slide, next time you can not use the projector)

as if you are explaining a topic to a friend at the buffet – please no complaints about too short time to prepare :)

speakers choose their scientific topic (but be at least remotely related to their research)

what’s on your mind, raise a point, ask, give opinion, impress, surprise, etc.

speakers and titles are not announced before the session

volunteer talks welcome (they substitute for obligatory talks)

espresso is self-paid and self-service
