Department of Procurement and Supply

The Department of Procurement and Supply of the Economic, Technical and Operational Organization (HUN-REN BRC ETOO) is mainly responsible for the procurement of materials and equipment for research and development activities and projects at the Biological Research Centre.

Our task is to ensure the smoothness and continuity of the research processes. As a budgetary entity, we always follow the regulations in force and take into account the relevant legislation and the legal background.

We play a liaison role in the administrative process system of the research centre, as our work in the different transactions is closely linked both vertically and horizontally with company representatives, members of end-user research teams and other administrative departments.

The daily operation of the department is managed by 6 colleagues in the office and 2 in the warehouse.

Our tasks include communication with international and Hungarian companies, requesting price quotes, complete management of orders (including customs clearance), representing the interests of the HUN-REN BRC, negotiating with suppliers, and managing public procurement projects.

Our department plays a major role in ensuring that the procurement of equipment and materials runs smoothly, so that researchers can carry out their work without being bothered.
