This year 3 PhD students of the Institute of Plant Biology have won the Magda Gábor-Hotchkiss Award

In 2000, the Director General of BRC Szeged and Magda Gábor-Hotchkiss agreed that the foundation named after Professor Dr. Rollin D. Hotchkiss would support young researchers at the BRC Szeged and their scientific publications written and published to obtain a doctoral degree. To ensure that all young researchers, regardless of discipline, have an equal opportunity to apply for the award, the board of directors decided that the institutes would have the opportunity to nominate their own students one after the other - a different institute each year.

In 2022, PhD students from the Institute of Plant Biology had the opportunity to apply for the award with their publications published in 2021.

This year's winners:

Eszter Széles (Her supervisor: Szilvia Z. Tóth)

Szilárd Kovács (His supervisor: Péter Kaló)

Gábor Patyi (His supervisor: Péter Kós)

The selected and dedicated announcements were sent to Dr. Magda Gábor-Hotchkiss, who congratulated the winners.

Congratulations to the winners and their supervisors!

PhD students of the Institute of Genetics can apply for the GHM-2023 award with their publications in 2022, which will be the basis for their PhD thesis.
