Resources and Services
The library collects mainly international journals in the fields of biochemistry, biophysics, genetics and plant biology as for cellular and molecular aspects. The nearly 150 current journals and databases serve the collaboration among different research groups of the institutes. With its nearly 10000 book-collection and outreach services the library provides a unique service for the research staff of the BRC and for the university staff as well.
Special database MyCite registers the publication and citation information of the local researchers.

Our Library contains more than 30000 volumes of journals for studying locally and nearly 10000 books for lending.

Volumes of cancelled journals No journals may be removed from the library . Every book lent out is the responsibility of the borrower until it has been duly returned to the Service Desk. Books which have been borrowed must not be lent to anyone else.
Library Services
- Borrowing: You can search the catalogue in the reading room by author, title or subject and this will tell you where the item is. If you can not find what you want library staff are always on hand to help you.
- Photocopying: Library has a self-service black and white photocopier. You have to sign in by library staff for access to the machine. You can have photocopies made by a colleague in the photocopy room from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Inter-Library Loans: If the BRC Library does not have the item you are looking for then library staff can arrange to borrow the item from another local library or from abroad for you.
